SANTORUM USES REVEREND JEREMIAH WRIGHT EXAMPLE TO BURY CBS’S CHARLIE ROSE
Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum buried CBS’s Charlie Rose this morning over the liberal media’s blatant double standard. Obama Media Group lapdogs have frantically tried to tie Santorum to a prominent backer’s recent contraception joke, which Santorum would have none of when Rose tried in vain to play “gotcha.”
Santorum supporter Foster Friess told MSNBC during an appearance Thursday, “back in my days, they used Bayer aspirin for contraception. The gals put it between their knees, and it wasn’t that costly.”
Accusing the media of “gotcha politics,” Santorum said he’s “just not going to play that game.” Pressed by CBS host Charlie Rose, who insisted the topic wasn’t “gotcha,” Santorum fired back:
“Hold on Charlie, when you quote a supporter of mine who tells a bad off-color joke and somehow I am responsible for that, that is gotcha. Look, this is what you guys do. You don’t do this with President Obama.
In fact, with President Obama, what you did was you went out and defended him against someone who he sat in a church for, for 20 years and defended him, that oh, he can’t possibly believe what he listened to for 20 years. It’s a double standard, this is what you’re pulling off, and I’m going to call you on it.”
No word on whether or not Rose wet his pants.
While Newt Gingrich’s stay at the top of the polls was short-lived, it appears that finally – Republican candidates have said – to paraphrase Peter Finch in Network – “We’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore.”
Perhaps we can thank Newt for that.
