SERGEANT GARY STEIN LATEST TO CRITICIZE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF – ON FACEBOOK
When Marines speak, Rat listens. The Rat’s dad was a tank commander who hit the beach at Iwo Jima with the first mechanized division. Marines kick ass. There may be a more honorable branch of the military – but I doubt it.
It appears that the United States Marine Corps is over Barack Hussein Obama – assuming that they were ever not over him in the first place. According to an article in Marine Corps Times, of the 792 active-duty Marines and mobilized reservists who responded to this year’s Military Times Poll, 44% said they disapprove of the way their Commander-in-Chief is handling his job. Do tell.
Reasons cited for the growing disapproval of Commander O include the repeal of “Don’t ask, don’t tell,” relaxed restrictions on women in combat and steep cuts to the military budget.
One would be safe to assume that the percentage would most likely be higher if less Marines feared repercussion for negative responses – the story of Sergeant Gary Stein being an excellent case in point:
Sergeant Stein’s criticism of O on Facebook has landed the Marine in hot water. While some argue that Stein violated military rules of conduct for criticizing the Commander-in-Chief, others disagree – citing the Constitution’s freedom-of-speech protection.
According to Directive 1344 from the Department of Defense, “A member of the Armed Forces on active duty may express a personal opinion on political candidates and issues, but not as a representative of the Armed Forces.”
Seems to me that if the Marine Sergeant criticized O without announcing that he was doing so a representative of the Armed Forces, no problem – although, with O’s thin skin, it will an interesting story to follow – which I will surely do.
You gotta hand it to the Marines for their astuteness; I’m surprised they’ve even been able to determine that Barack Obama is in fact their Commander-in-Chief; I thought it was Nicolas Sarkozy.

Hell – what’s the big deal? O’s approval rating with the Leathernecks is higher than it is with us ungrateful civilians.

Press, by way of UPI, ran an article/column where the Prime Minister of Kenya said flatly that he was there (in Kenya) when Barack Obama was born. Many people in this country, many, many, are deceived, terribly misinformed, blind to the truth, do NOT want to be the truth…or the Constitution…and do NOT believe in the American Spirit or it’s patriotic virtues. Here’s my take: While I won’t quibble with the “birthers” as to whether or not Obama is a “natural-born American citizen”, I’m of the mind that it hurts our cause with moderates (who, like it or not, we need in November) when we pursue this stuff. There is PLENTY of irrefutable evidence with which to go after this pretender-to-throne as it relates to the utter failure of his Regime.
All I’m saying is this: If we focus on the ISSUES that matter to most Americans, we have a good chance come November. If we focus on whether or not O is eligible to be president, we look like desperate loons to much of Middle America – even if we’re right.
