IF O’S TRAIN WRECK SURVIVES THE SUPREME COURT IT’S GONNA COST A WHOLE LOT MORE CASH
While Nancy Pelosi’s “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it” comment prior to the passage of ObamaCare was one of the most asinine statements of her “illustrious” career, it was also true: Senate Republican staffers scouring the law to “find out what is in it” have found another funding gap - this one to the tune of $17 trillion.
Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions, the Republican’s budget chief in the Senate:
“The more we learn about the bill, the more we learn it is even more unaffordable than was suspected. The bill has to be removed from the books because we don’t have the money.”
The shortfall between new ObamaCare spending and taxes was discovered just after Supreme Court justices skewered O’s defense team over the law’s compliance – or lack thereof – with the U.S. Constitution. If the judges don’t strike down the law, taxpayers will need to cough up another $17 trillion to fund additional spending requirements.
The $17 trillion shortfall was revealed by an analysis of ObamaCare’s long-term requirements. The newly-discovered additional obligations, when combined with existing Medicare and Medicaid funding shortfalls, leaves taxpayers on the hook for an extra $82 trillion over the next 75 years. Sessions on the floor of the Senate:
“President Obama told the American people that his health law would cost $900 billion over ten years and that it would not add ‘one dime’ to the debt; this health law adds an entirely new obligation—one we cannot pay for—and puts the entire financing of the United States government in jeopardy.”
The projected short-term cost of ObamaCare now stands at $2.6 trillion – almost triple the $900 billion cost promised by O prior to the bill’s passage. And just think; dude’s plan doesn’t even go full monty until 2014.

Little did Pelosi know what she was saying. For once, she was right.
