‘THE SUPREME COURT UNLEASHED A PREDATOR THAT IS OOZING SLIME INTO THE POLITICAL SYSTEM’
The thing you have have to admire about Nancy Pelosi is her unabashed honesty about her true objectives – and her willingness to humiliate herself – time and time again – all in the name of good ol’ anti-American socialism. It takes a particularly “special” person to do that – and the ex-Speaker has no problem stepping up to the plate – with regularity.
So there she was at the microphone again last week – rambling on about her latest socialist cause – amending the U.S. Constitution – and freedom of speech – in an effort to provide Democrats Congress with the authority to regulate corporate political speech:
“We have a clear agenda in this regard: reform the system [by] reducing the [role] of money in campaigns, and amend the Constitution to rid it of this ability for special interests to use secret, unlimited, huge amounts of money flowing to campaigns.
“I think one of the presenters [at a Democratic forum on amending the Constitution] yesterday said that the Supreme Court had unleashed a predator that was oozing slime into the political system, and that, indeed, is not an exaggeration. Our Founders had an idea. It was called democracy. It said elections are determined by the people, the voice – and the vote of the people, not by the bankrolls of the privileged few. This Supreme Court decision flies in the face of our Founders’ vision and we want to reverse it.”
(Incidentally, “reform” is a favorite word of liberals, along with “invest.” The problem is, when you look up these words in the dictionary, they have no relation to the destructive things liberals attempt accomplish in their respective names.)
The Supreme Court “decision” to which San Francisco’s favorite wing-nut refers is the SCOTUS majority opinion in Citizens United – which held that the First Amendment prohibited the government from restricting independent political expenditures by corporations and unions.
Apparently it hasn’t occured to Madame Looney Tunes and her fellow socialists in Congress that the regulation of corporate political speech could also affect freedom of the press – and the ability of her beloved MSNBC and CNN to spew their anti-conservative bile on a daily basis.
Earth to Planet Pelosi: Television networks, newspapers, magazines and political action committees are generally established as corporations – or subsidiaries of such. Can you say, “Uh oh…”? The good news, Madame Nutjob? This proposed amendment doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of being ratified. Keep up the good fight though; we wouldn’t expect anything less from you.
Ironically, the Hypocrite-in-Chief, who had dutifully railed against Super PACs for six years, flip-flopped (Imagine that!) last month and urged wealthy Democrats to contribute to Priorities USA, a super PAC led by two former Obama aides.
You don’t suppose Pelosi & Co. really wanna regulate THAT organization, do you?

Yeah, I gather some recent candidate for official office was receiving megabucks from overseas clones of Daffy Duck and Mickey Mouse, and turned off credit card ID verification to let the money through! Political slime, indeed.
