NO PROBLEM WITH DRUG ADDICT WHITNEY HOUSTON HONORED IN NEW JERSEY
As regular readers of this blog are well aware, the Rat thrives on the hypocrisy of liberals. He also loves how certain people set these people off as if they’ve had hot pokers shoved up their butts: Sarah Palin, White Christians, George Bush, Fox News – and of course, the granddaddy of them all – Rush Limbaugh. Yep, the mere mention of el Rushbo’s name is enough to send liberals into histrionics. Imagine how they felt yesterday – when Rush was named to the Hall of Famous Missourians. And Democrats weren’t even invited to the ceremony. Doesn’t get any better.
The hypocrisy, of course, is twofold: whiny Missouri Democrats complained not only that the induction occurred in “secrecy” – but also that the House Speaker “handpicked” Rush without first consulting them. Poor babies.
Memo to Missouri loons: Even if you loathe the very air Rush breathes, like it or not – he revolutionized talk radio. Hell – all two of your liberal talk-radio hosts wouldn’t even have the few listeners they do were it not for Limbaugh. Also – can you not set politics aside for 10 seconds and acknowledge Rush’s success? Pretend he’s a drug addict who drowned in a hotel bathtub, and Missouri is only flying the flag at half-mast on the day of his funeral if that makes you feel any better.
Shortly after the unveiling of el Rushbo’s bust in the Hall of Famous Missourians, Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon’s administration issued a document raising questions about the House speaker’s authority to handpick whose bust can be placed in the Capitol rotunda.
The ceremony was kept secret from all but invited guests until less than an hour before the ceremony. While Republican lawmakers were invited, Democrats were not – and visitors were blocked from entering.
House Speaker Steve Tilley – who selected Rush for the honor -defended the use of armed police to block access.”With the controversy involved surrounding, I thought it was acceptable to do an invitation-only event.” Aw, c’mon Steve – wouldn’t Rush have gotten a kick out of watching the loons makes jackasses of themselves?
Democrats had attacked Tilley’s decision to select Limbaugh because of – get ready – the comments he made about Obama-plant Sandra Fluke, who sought to testify before a congressional committee on the O-man’s contraceptive mandate. As if the lying liars wouldn’t have manufactured another reason had the Fluke excuse not been available.
“It is quite clear from their handling of the Limbaugh ceremony that Republicans were ashamed of what they were doing and wanted as few people as possible to witness it. When you take great steps to hide what you’re doing, it usually means that you know what you’re doing is wrong,” said House Assistant Democratic Leader Tishaura Jones, St. Louis Democrat.
Memo to Tishaura: The only thing that is “quite clear,” is that Republicans leaders in Missouri knew full well that you and your fellow nimrods would makes complete fools of yourselves – and disrupt the rightful induction of a more than deserving man into the Hall of Famous Missourians.
As to be expected, Rush made reference to the attacks as he addressed attendees at the ceremony, praising Tilley for standing up to the Democrats:
“He was tough, he did not give him any quarter, laughed at them when they called his office, which is what you have to do because they’re deranged,” Limbaugh said to laughter. “Our friends – so-called friends – on the other side of the aisle, are deranged.”
Relax, loons; maybe Chris “Tingles” Matthews will be inducted into a “journalists” hall of fame some day. Or, perhaps Michelle “Mooch” Obama will be elected to the Hall of Famous Vacationers – or the Hall of Famous Nutritionists.

Maybe they would’ve been more understanding were Rush still hooked on OxyContin.
