ATTORNEY GENERAL, ACLU AND IRS ADMINISTRATORS TO COACH BLACK CHURCHES
Imagine, if you will, a white president – let’s call him “George Bush” for illustration purposes – sending his white Attorney General to meet with white pastors of white churches in a concerted effort to coach those white pastors on how they can best energize their white congregations to get out and vote to reelect said white president this November. Oh – and throw in a white IRS administrator to ride along as wingman, too.
This is where I usually ask: What would we hear from Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan and the hateful racists of the New Black Panthers Party? What would we hear from Tingles Matthews, Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz? What would we hear from CBS, NBC ABC and The New York Times? Let’s pretend the white president’s opponent were black - let’s call him “Barack Obama” for illustration purposes – what would we hear from the black opponent, his supporters and his election campaign?
In fact, what we hear from the liberal media – let’s call it the “Obama Media Group” for illustration purposes – if Fox News ran an image like the one above – showing the white president surrounded by white pastors laying on hands? (In addition to calling the white president a religious fanatic, that is.)
Of course, all hell would break loose.
However, no such outcry is occurring over the announcement on MSNBC yesterday by Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-MO, that lawyers from the ACLU, IRS administrators, and even Attorney General Eric Holder will soon be speaking with hundreds of pastors in the black community on how they can help reelect the O-man in November.
As one might expect, the Regime and its minions are putting a different spin on its coordinated campaign to get out the black vote for O; it’s simply an effort to protect black churches from violating their 501(c)(3) status. Uh huh. Here’s brother Emanuel:
“We will have representatives from nine denominations who actually pastor somewhere in the neighborhood of about 10 million people; and we’re going to first of all equip them with the information they need to know about what they can say and what they cannot say in the church that would violate their 501(c)(3) status with the IRS.”
So - black churches require special needs training from the ACLU, IRS and the Attorney General of the United States that white churches don’t need? Based on what criteria? I’ll take a shot in the dark: it wouldn’t be because they’re – uh – black – and the O-man’s support among blacks has slipped – particularly after announcing that he supports same-sex marriage – would it? Just a hunch.
While the Get Out The Vote For The O-Man Team says it won’t specifically tell people for whom to vote – excuse me for a moment: BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! – the “respected speakers” will discuss “draconian” (They best be careful using words like “draconian”; wouldn’t want anyone to think they’re talking about Dracula and vampires again.) voter identification laws, which the Congressional Black Caucus expects will help the O-man’s campaign. Ya think?
Maybe I’m just a bit too slow on the uptake, but why is it okay for liberal government officials to directly involve themselves with religious institutions for the purpose of influencing members of those institutions to vote for liberal politicians and support liberal causes? Brother Emanuel has the answer:
“We want to let the pastors know that there is a theological responsibility to participate in the political process.”
Would love to be a fly on the wall during just one of Holder’s meetings with a group of black pastors. (Not to mention – sit in the congregation of one of the churches and listen to a “sermon” following the O-Team stopping by to “equip them with the information they need to know.”)
With any luck, the pathetically inept (and corrupt) Attorney General will violate the Hatch Act when he talks to “my people.” I wonder if he’ll bring along a few of those New Black Panther dudes – dressed in their silly Darth Vader-looking Halloween costumes – as an entourage? One can only hope.
It looks like the O-man hired those extra 1,600 IRS “administrators” just in the nick of time, huh?
Only on Planet Obama.
