O-MAN’S POLITICAL HACK INSULTS HISPANICS, CATHOLICS IN ONE FELL SWOOP
David Axelrod is a clown. At least by the Urban Dictionary definition, anyway: “a person who is humorous without intention.” Yep, that pretty much describes the O-man’s political pimp daddy to a T. It came as no surprise then, that O’s senior campaign adviser said earlier this week that giving the vice presidential nomination to Cuban-American Sen. Marco Rubio (R – FL) would be an “insult to Hispanics.” Ah, the disingenuous logic of the liberal. Here’s Axelrod’s line of reasoning:
“I think it would be an insult to the Hispanic community to choose Senator Rubio if the thinks that is somehow – if Governor Romney thinks that’s sort of a get-out-of-jail-free card for all of the things and the positions that he’s taken.”
Of course, Axelrod believes nothing of the kind. He does, however, want to coax Hispanics into believing that a Rubio nomination for the vice presidency would be an insult to the Latino community. In the clown’s devious mind, he figures that he can not only convince Hispanics of all the terrible things perpetrated on them by the evil Mitt Romney – but also that a veep nod by Mitt would be a blatant attempt to soothe Latinos and paper over his “true colors.”
Being a liberal sounds damn hard; constantly having to manipulate, ofuscate – and outright lie. Way too much work.
So, why’s Axelrod putting so much effort (and looking ridiculous as a result) into concocting this ridiculous story? Hispanics voted for the O-man 67% to 31% over McCain in 2008. In 2012, as is the case with support in the black community, the O-man is vulnerable. His attempt to force Catholic institutions to pay for birth control could alienate the Latino population’s devout following. (As his support for same-sex marriage is beginning to alienate many blacks.)
Furthermore, the unemployment rate among Hispanics stood at 11% in May, nearly three points higher than the 8.2% unemployment rate of the general population. Those numbers are not expected to get any better before November, even by the calculations of of prominent Democrats. How long will it be before O trots out the “moats full of alligators” line again? Or, reminds Latinos that Republicans are their “enemies”?
Finally, the O-man broke a campaign promise to Hispanics – welcome to the big fat club – by reneging on his pledge to produce an immigration bill during his first year in office. But hell – he’ll try to blame that on Republicans just like everything else.
O and Axe – what a pair. Laurel and Hardy would be proud.
Such buffoonery – all with a straight face. Impressive, huh?
