JOBLESS CLAIMS RISE, FORECLOSURES UP, DEMOCRATS START TO ABANDON SHIP
It just keeps getting better, doesn’t it? Jobless claims on the rise, foreclosures up again – 29% in Illinois alone – and the O-man keeps partying like it’s 1999. Oh, and continuing to blame the Republican Congress for everything that’s gone wrong with the universe since the beginning of time. Our “What, me worry?” president is a hollow suit – and more and more Democrats are finally beginning to realize it – and it’s scaring the crap out of them.
The Labor Department reported this morning that 386,000 people filed new jobless claims in the week ended June 9 – up 6,000 from the previous week’s revised figure. For the record, that was 11,000 more than expected. Two weeks ago, the Regime itself released a May jobs report that indicated job growth is slowing dramatically.
According to Reuters, foreclosure starts rose year-over-year in May for the first time in more than two years as banks resumed dealing with distressed properties after a mortgage-abuse settlement earlier this year. Overall foreclosure activity, which includes default notices, scheduled auctions and bank repossessions, affected 205,990 properties in May – a 9.1 percent increase from April.
And the Fiddler-in-Chief’s response? All that talk about his deficit? Why – it’s all Republican bull crap – made up to make the O-man look bad! Watch and listen – not only to the ridiculous nonsense he spews – but to the condescending tone with which he spews it. Does this sound like a president who’s concerned with reality?
This guy is delusional. He’s not only wrong with the ridiculous claim about “the slowest spending increase of any president in 60 years” – “proof” for which he references a widely-debunked report – but he has outspent the combined terms of George Bush’s presidency in only 3 1/2 years. Oh – and the four presidents who preceded Bush as well.
As for those scared-crapless Democrats? They’re fleeing the O-man like – you guessed it – rats from a sinking ship. (No relation.) According to Gallup, O’s support within his own base: young people, independents, women, blacks, Jews and Hispanics? Headed south faster than an illegal alien running from Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Hell – he’s even dropping like the eruo in his beloved Europe – and revered Muslim countries as well. Storm clouds ahead for HMS Obama indeed.
HMS Obama is coming apart at the seams. Too bad the captain insists on taking America down with the ship.
