COLORADO UNIVERSITY GETS CAUGHT WITH ITS LIBERAL PANTS DOWN
Damn, for a second I thought this was a Team O staff meeting
The sad part? These stories – unimaginable not so long ago – don’t surprise me anymore. Personal emotions out of the way, let’s get to the outrageous part: A public university in Colorado offered students course credit for volunteering to work for Barack Obama’s re-election campaign. Taxpayer dollars – funding the political agenda of Academia’s liberal elites. Not in my America.

A public university in Colorado may have violated state law by offering students course credit if they volunteered with President Obama’s re-election campaign. A blog post on the Adams State University website billed the opportunity as a “12-week-long organizing-internship with the Obama Campaign.”
Both the blog post and the course are now gone. The course was canceled due to lack of interest, according to the university. The blog post was taken down earlier this week after a conservative student blog, Campus Reform, reported on it.
Cancelled for “lack of interest,” or cancelled because they got caught? You make the call.
Imagine – for a moment – a state-funded university offering course credits to students who volunteer to campaign for Mitt Romney. What’s the over-under on how long it would take the “mainstream” media – not to mention, the idiots on MSNBC – to burst into flames?

The course may have been in violation of the Colorado Fair Campaign Practices Act, which prohibits the use of public resources for “campaigns involving the nomination, retention, or election of any person to any public office.” Oliver Darcy, editor of Campus Reform, who first reported the story, said the course struck him as a likely violation of state law:
“They are definitely using a few professors – at least – to help these students with the campaign process, so I don’t understand how it doesn’t use public resources for campaign purposes.”
Here’s my favorite part – from university spokeswoman, Julie Waechter, who said the blog post was “mistaken about the nature of the course,” and that “students would have been allowed to volunteer with any campaign.” Uh-huh.
“This is an independent study course that would be available to any student in any campaign.”
Sure it would have, Julie. But – only after you got caught with your liberal pants down.
Imagine that – a course offering free credits to liberal students at a liberal arts college being cancelled due to “lack of interest.”

Made the same point in the post, Hillbilly. Wonder who would burst into flames first? TIngles Matthews? Rachel Maddow? Ed Schultz? Lawrence O’Donnell? With any luck, they’d do it simultaneously!
Ya ever notice the ones that scream the loudest, are the ones who are the biggest hypocrites?
U-huh. They spell that phenomenon “l-i-b-e-r-a-l-s.”
If no takers…it was because advertised as “free.” Takers want it to cost somebody other than them something. Say “rich taxpayer paid college credits.” Of course, I know the light shown upon it is why removed from site, likely still available.
Nothing these people do surprises me anymore.
Forgive off topic a bit but can’t pass this up. Free credit is not all you get campaigning for O. Remember dem that said “Romney parties while black folk drown?” And others wishing Isaac would wash away the RNC? Well…the remnants of Isaac is the rain that washed away part of Mount Obama in Charlotte as it went north and spread rain eastward. Media won’t tell us that, but I’ve followed this thing for over a week and that’s where Charlotte rains came from.
