DEM OPERATIVE SPILLS HIS GUTS ABOUT WHAT HE REALLY THINKS OF HIS PARTY
James Carville, Democrat political consultant extraordinaire – and former Bill Clinton campaign manager, has astonishingly come out and said what all good Republicans have known for decades: Not only are most Democrats politically clueless; they’re easily manipulated by the puppet masters of their party as well. Wow. James Freaking Carville. Of all people. Here’s an excerpt, as quoted on Amazon.com:
“Ideologies aren’t all that important. What’s important is psychology.
The Democratic constituency is just like a herd of cows. All you have to do is lay out enough silage and they come running. That’s why I became an operative working with Democrats. With Democrats all you have to do is make a lot of noise, lay out the hay, and be ready to use the ole cattle prod in case a few want to bolt the herd.
Eighty percent of the people who call themselves Democrats don’t have a clue as to political reality.
What amazes me is that you could take a group of people who are hard workers and convince them that they should support social programs that were the exact opposite of their own personal convictions. Put a little fear here and there and you can get people to vote any way you want.
The voter is basically dumb and lazy. The reason I became a Democratic operative instead of a Republican was because there were more Democrats that didn’t have a clue than there were Republicans.
Truth is relative. Truth is what you can make the voter believe is the truth. If you’re smart enough, truth is what you make the voter think it is. That’s why I’m a Democrat. I can make the Democratic voters think whatever I want them to.”
Bingo. I couldn’t have written that for ol’ James any better myself. Truth be told, I’ve always had kind of a love-hate relationship with Carville. While I’ve never agreed with him on much of anything – unless he was commenting on the failures of his party, which unlike most political operatives, he’s not been afraid to do through the years – this is different. This amounts to a total confession of what I define in the right sidebar of this blog as the quintessential “political lie”:
Liberals saying things they know aren’t true for the sole purpose of exploiting the “less-than-informed” for political gain.
Bravo, James – and thanks for the validation.

Old “Serpent Head” (Mary Matalin’s term of endearment) has finally got something right…….I love them as a couple and wish they had a reality show. I love the commercials.
I enjoy watching them together as well. My favorite part is when she tells him to shut up on Meet The Press, or wherever – and he does!
The reality show is a great idea.
James freaking Carville saying that !! It is amazing. This guy always seem to be in total love lock with Obama. Perhaps his wife Republican Mary Matalin, snuck something into his dinner…. his brains, finally !

I like hearing that James has confessed to what I have known for 30 years. However he did leave one thing out, democratic liberalism is a mental disorder. In so many words he did admitt that his party suffered from this serious disorder. The democratic, progressive liberal believes in doing the same thing over and over expecting to get a different result, this is indeed insanity. Carville didn’t say this outright because the 80% would have changed to 100% and this would have got him thrown out of the party, his bread and butter, his marketing machine for his book deals, indeed he danced around the mental disorder a bit.
Wow – this blog post made it to Snopes! They haven’t reached a conclusion about it as of yet, but nice to see The Rat get some play!
While I picked up the quote from a site I’ve trusted for years – and also read it on several other reputable sites, I won’t hesitate to post a retraction – which would be my first – if it is ultimately proved to be wrong.
I do find it interesting that Snopes rates the quote as “probably false” – given that it can find no proof either way. (Not dissimilar to the Regime’s immediate claim that the Benghazi attack was spontaneous and a reaction to a film nobody saw.) It seems to me that Carville has had to be made aware of the quote if it’s false. And knowing James, he’d have blasted out a fiery denial by now.
Either way, the good news is this: It’s EXACTLY the way these people think – which is why I use the term “political lie”, the definition of which is on the right sidebar of the blog.
And – thanks for the Snopes reference. I do get picked up by various well-known sites here and there – and it’s always rewarding.

As I said at the beginning, the beauty of it is it’s EXACTLY the way liberal elitists think – and it’s the fundamental strategy of their playbook. It’s the essence of what I call the political lie:

The Democratic Party has done it to blacks for more than 50 years. They’re now trying to set up the Hispanics the same way. Democrats cannot win elections by telling the truth.
This story was posted on multiple respected sites across the internet. Several of us continued to look for a Carville retraction for more than six weeks – and I still find it curious that it took so long for the denial to come out.

Appears to me both parties are equally clueless. But that should be expected since in practice there isn’t an oz of difference between them.
Again, confirmation that the Obama foreign/domestic policy and Democratic strategy is based upon the Seinfeld Doctrine: “It’s not a lie if you believe it.” (Or as Carville says here, “Truth is relative. Truth is what you can make the voter believe is the truth.”) Incidentally, Carville’s statement could come right out of the bible (Pontius Pilot: “What is truth?”) or Atlas Shrugged (“There is no truth; there are no absolutes; it’s all relative.”)

I resourced several sites that I’ve trusted for several years before I ran with it. I’ve also looked – daily – for a denial from Carville, which I believe would occur were it not true – given how big the story has become. Look back at my comments to “Cheryl.”

For once I agree with him.
As a Senior Citizen, I have learned much about our government in the last few years. Its shocking how dumb our young people are…something I attribute to the school and the lack of history and Geography and social studies. Sooo, they get to be Democrats. It fits!!!
This is so scary, but I had the honor of being alive when we were “America” – strong and able to handle anything. Lets face it…they all listen to ABC, CBS and NBC..with all the dummies.

Has this been verified? While I agree with everything he supposedly said, where did he say it? Snopes says they can not confirm he ever said this. While I also take Snopes with a grain of salt, I would like to know it is true before passing it along. I just think Carville is smarter than this. He knows how this would look coming from him. So I am a bit skeptical.
It continues to be a mystery. I picked it up on Amazon.com. It seems to me that Carville would’ve come and angrily denied it were it not true, given the attention it’s gotten.
But I also believe Hannity, Rush etc would be mentioning this a lot if it was verified. Just skeptical. Would love to hear it from the horse’s mouth.
Agreed. Perhaps, it’s out there; they believe it’s true as well, but cannot nail it down. Still, it won’t die. Carville could kill it in a heartbeat.
