The ObamaCare Board Game: ‘Everybody Has To Pay, Nobody Ever Wins’

“You’re either broke or you’re dead”

A Kentucky entrepreneur is seeking start-up capital to produce what is sure to be a hit: ObamaCare: The Board Game. “Everybody has to pay. Nobody ever wins,” the news release promises. “You’re either broke or you’re dead,” the game board says. Dude, I want one.

As reported by cnsnews.com, Game creator Jack LeFeber says that regardless of how you view the health care law, “You’ll love the creative insanity that only a government bureaucracy can cobble together. It’s fun, educational and a little scary, all at the same time.”

Players can choose to be Democrats, Republicans, or members of the Tea Party, Green Party, Occupy Wall Street, or the IRS.

Each player starts out on the “Buy Insurance” square as a small business owner [except for the Occupy Wall Streeters, who begin the game unemployed]. Along the way, players are taxed, troubled, hospitalized, or may even fall victim to a death panel as they make their way across the board. [Such realism!]

While the idea of an ObamaCare board game is hilarious, LeFeber explains it this way:

“What could possibly happen when you extract $1.7 TRILLION dollars from the private sector?” This game demonstrates in a fun, educational way how the middle class may be affected over the next few years.”

aaa4_426Feber says players can enjoy the game, even if they haven’t read the 10,000-page Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. [Oh, goody; that means members of Congress will be able to knock their socks off playing it.]

In addition to a game board, dice, and player tokens, the game includes health insurance policy cards, owner-industry cards, penalty cards and, of course, play money called “ObamaBucks.”

LeFeber added:

“We may have added some funny exaggerations in the game. But since the original bill was brought to you by the same folks who so efficiently manage the US Postal Service, Social Security Trust Fund, recent Bank Bailouts, and soon-to-be $17,000,000,000,000.00 in government debt–you know the game is rigged against us from the start.”

Of course it is, Jack – it was built by Democrats.

When asked her opinion of the new game, the ever-insightful Nancy Pelosi said:

“We have to open the ObamaCare board game so that we can see what is in it.”

The price of the game will be determined by annual income as follows:

$100,000 & Over: $500

$75,000–$99,999: $250

$50,000–$74,999: $100

$35,000–$49,000: Free

$34,999 & Under: Free, plus $1,000 in ObamaBucks – annually

I wonder if they’ll come out with a limited edition version of the game – autographed by the pimp daddy of ObamaCare himself? One can only hope.

  1. Instead of a “Go Directly to Jail” space it will be “Go Directly to Benghazi.”

  2. Yesterday when I was young…yesterday (a song you know). Now I read government will require my doctor to inquire about my sex life. Will he then be an agent of the IRS, and if I don’t tell the truth it will be perjury under the new law?
What funny comments I’ve read, like…Doc, ask your wife and daughter about it.
I be what is considered old now, but remember… somehow they raised the Costa Concordia. :)

    • Said with a nuanced flair that only unit can achieve. ;-)

      • I had to look nuance up, being a little redneck in view of all circumstances…
        Said @ CNN…
“Long before the sun came up over the newly vertical Costa Concordia cruise liner, a little party was going on in Giglio harbor”…the unit was partying and nuancing according to vocabulary.com…”NOO-ahns.” this noun was borrowed from French in the 18th century and derives ultimately from Latin nūbēs “a cloud.” Think of clouds––subtle gradations in color to understand this word. When you say a work of art was nuanced, it means there was a lot to it, but incorporated subtly.
Thanks for understanding and appreciating standing, vertical art, Rat. I didn’t know I had it in me. :)

    • Quote: “Now I read government will require my doctor to inquire about my sex life.”

I guess we all better start doing things worthy of being filed, unless everybody’s going to be taxed for that too.

    • Yeah, and even more impressive, they run on batteries, solar power and fairy dust. No carbon footprint for these choo-choos!

    • I guess I missed the railroad connection, sometimes I miss when I think I scored, but anyway…
It’s the new “Underground Railroad”, this one sneaking Congress, staff, federal employees, and unions out from under ObamaCare.

  3. No thanks, don’t think I’d like this game! Don’ like the real life one either!

  4. nice blog. Thanks for sharing my game :) Please support the kickstarter and help me mock..err educate Liberals http://www.obamacaregame.com
