MARCO RUBIO STATEMENT TO BLOGGERS AT CPAC: BE AMERICA, AMERICA

by The Rat

‘WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DECIDE WE DON’T WANT TO BE THE GREATEST NATION IN THE WORLD?’

Florida’s Republican Senator Marco Rubio sat down with conservative bloggers at CPAC today and incisively outlined the differences in ideology between Barack Obama and that of a majority of Americans. Notice the lack of notes or “electronic devices.” Refreshing.

Rubio, who is on everyone’s short list of potential Vice Presidential candidates, stands in stark contrast to the current “occupier” of the White House. While Obama has trotted around the world for the last three years bowing, appeasing and apologizing to anyone who will stand still long enough to listen, Rubio has no problem telling it like it is:

“China and Russia stand by while people are being slaughtered in Syria because they themselves may one day have to employ the same tactics in order to hold on to power.”

What an exhilarating contrast to hollow threats read from a teleprompter.

As for Barack Obama’s reelection strategy, Rubio was on point as well:

“He’s gonna divide the American people against each other in hopes of getting to 51% across the country and winning enough electoral votes to be reelected.  His argument is the reason why some people in America are hurting is because other people are doing too well – and that the only way some people can get ahead is for other people to fall behind – that the only way to climb up the economic ladder is to pull other people down.”

Sounds like Marco’s been listening to an Obama stump speech or two.

Brighter days are ahead, America. We just gotta get there.
